The machine in question – a 50-tonne press – had a length of 4.6 metres. For the exceptional transport we used a 6-axle semi-low loader. Once it arrived at its final destination, we tilted the press with our 30-ton and 700-ton mobile telescopic cranes. Afterwards, the press was lifted with our Demag AC700 crane through the roof. Once inside, the press was placed on rollers above a brand new concrete foundation. Next, our team built a lifting gantry around the press to position it with the necessary precision at its final destination.
Cost and time efficient
Throughout this project, all facets fit together seamlessly. This saves time and therefore money. In addition, the customer has a single point of contact who arranges everything. From the permits and route surveys for the exceptional transport to the lifting plan and the final installation. A nice example of teamwork between the various divisions within our organisation.
